Close up of typewriter and Power of attorney
When you are an agent pursuant to someone’s general durable power of attorney you are able to do pretty much anything that they could do for themselves as it relates to their assets provided it’s authorized by the document. However, there are certain transactions that require you to record the power of attorney in order to show that you – the person using the document – were authorized to do so. This episode will discuss that situation and what you need to know if it comes up.
It doesn’t come up often but when it does this episode can be a valuable guide.
All the best.
