A signboard for business or marketing concept
I’ve talked in the past about how assisted living communities may (and often do) have a private pay requirement. That’s an amount of money your loved one must pay from private funds before they can remain in the assisted living community as a Medicaid beneficiary. Since most people begin receiving care in their home there is a potential trap that could disrupt their ability to get Medicaid benefits in the assisted living of their choosing. That trap is spending too much money on home care and not having enough left to pay the assisted living private pay requirement. Listen to the episode to learn how to avoid this trap as you help your loved one navigate the long term care process.
Thanks again so much for listening and I will talk to you soon.
